Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast Episode 74 The Disciplined Doers

Preach the Word
2Timothy 4:1-5

I solemnly charge
you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast Episode 73-Give Up Your Ways While on the Way

Christ the True Vine
John 15:1-5

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Minnesota Voter Turnout 2008 Part 1

Get Out and Vote Today

Diverse Communities Make Minnesota
The Highest Voter Turnout in the Nation at 80%.

What started out as a Voter Registration Project at Pastor Paul's Mission will end with conversations at the Exit Polls a little more than a month later! The following day we will be all a buzz about the new President of the United States of America and I will be continuing to edit and post the finished films to Pastor Paul's Blog and YouTube.

You need to be sure to subscribe to both Pastor Paul's Blog and
YouTube. I guarantee you will find the soon to be historic coverage more than interesting and many times entertaining. As my first assignment (to myself) as a freelance citizen journalist my impromptu style is similar to the famous cinematographer Ed Wood of one take and it's a wrap...'This is the one I will be remembered for'.

The limited editing is due in part to a learn as you go style of filming characteristic of everything in this project from interviews and conversations, to who, what, where and when the filming opportunity would present itself. Using the recently purchased Sony 60 GB HDD Handycam filming 8 hours of raw film footage was a breeze and the opportunity presented itself often. The editing using iMovie on the MacBook Pro is quite incredible and I never took a lesson!

The why of this series of films, probably 8 ten minute parts, will show the diverse communities, government officials, citizens, and everyday people who make Minnesota the state with the Highest Voter Turnout in the Nation. Minnesotans are hardworking, very progressive and involved in building strong communities. As you will see in the films we are educated minded especially when it comes to voting. I hope you will enjoy the films and learn something from the people of the North Country.

Minnesota Voter Turnout 2008 Part 1 was filmed in Wabasha Minnesota on All Saint's Day, Saturday November 1, 2008, in part at the National Eagle Center where the AIMS.org St Paul Magnet School performed Lakota Indian ceremonial dances offering prayers for the dedication of the National Eagle Center and the City of Wabasha's Observation Decks. The Bald Eagle's significance is captured representing our National Symbol. Usually its replica is seen as a companion of the US flag which is hung in every polling place as millions of Americans cast their votes in this historic presidential election.
Pastor Paul will be celebrating his 76th birthday on November 14th and having voted in numerous elections, he shares about the importance of voting from his perspective. He states that it is up to us, the citizens, to make the change and we can start by voting.

Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast Episode 72-There is Corn in Egypt

'Famine, Family and Futures'

Happy 'All Saint's Day' today, November 1, 2008, we are recognizing Joseph's example of brotherly love. Through dream interpretation, he became Egypt's visionary administrator. The message, 'There is Corn in Egypt', is a message for today though it was originally recorded December 7, 1984. It describes running out of everything in the natural so God can fill us up with the Spiritual.

It starts to turn ugly, hopeless, and grim with famine, envy and dreams. Then someone shouts, 'There Is Corn In Egypt'. By faith we know all things are working together for good.

  • Instant Replay: Just listen-Original Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode 06-'Corn In Egypt' was recorded July 6, 2007.
  • Revisited: Archived-Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode 06-'Corn In Egypt' complete with show notes.
