Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #8-Only Leaves

Welcome to Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #8-Only Leaves

In this message Pastor Paul uses three imaginary trees to describe fruitfulness. One is very leafy with no fruit; one has fruit and leaves; and one is a mere stump. Of these three fruit trees, one is dangerously lacking...beware the ax. Can you guess which one it may be? You may be surprised about the outcome.

The message is about being fruitful or being complacent. It is about false professors, predestination, and Christ's intercessory prayers. It is about what is expected of the Church. It is about those who will be called in the final days.

The message speaks of the urgency to be productive. Christians are called to be more than knowledgeable about Christ. They are called to produce good works-fruits of love. Following Christ's example; to feed the poor, to heal the sick, to visit the prisoner, to minister the salvation message, to take care of the widows and orphans-to serve humanity, following Christ's example of Love.

Leafy Christians-beware of the ax-this message should move you from your couch to your feet in record time. If not, take your pulse because surely you are dead.

Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #7-Sing-Yes Jesus Loves Me!

Welcome to Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #7-Sing-Yes Jesus Loves Me!

This message is for anyone who has experienced 'inferiority complexes' which is all of us at one time or another. Isaiah 46:12 'Listen ye who feel far away from triumph, I bring my triumph near, right near. My victory is hastening.' When you feel far away from victory you feel far away from God. That is when our hearing is better. That is when we are ready to listen to the Lord.

This message will get you up out of your chair and pace the floor. At times it is surreal because you can visualize what he is saying. The Spirit of the Lord is throughout the message and you will recognize it if you are ready to listen.

This is the first message I heard in the church with my sister...during Thanksgiving weekend. For me it was almost unbearable to listen to. So much truth. Since then I have listened to it many times and it is inspiring.

Victory is mine I sing!

Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #6-There is Corn in Egypt

Welcome to Tongues of Fire-Pastor Paul's Podcast-Episode #6-There is Corn in Egypt. The message compares the 'Natural' pitiful plight of Jacob's sons and their journey to Egypt in search for food to the 'Spiritual' plight of people today who do not know Jesus the 'Bread of Life' who face spiritual hunger.

While famine threatens their physical existence, Jacob has the ears of faith and hears the good news. He tells his sons, "There is Corn in Egypt". His son Joseph, who he does not know is alive, will be providing the food for his family. Jacob's sons go to Egypt haphazardly to receive food. They also find mercy and forgiveness from Joseph whom they betrayed when he was a young boy. Characterized, Joseph is a type of Christ.

Pastor Paul uses the analogy of this plight with the one of people today who suffers from spiritual famine because they do not have the 'Bread of Life', Jesus Christ. They do not know that he is alive and provides spiritual food. Rather than seeking Him haphazardly, they are invited to receive Him with mercy and forgiveness.

Today with the threat of natural disaster, rumors of wars, famines, pestilence and disease, we must know by faith that God is in charge and all things are working together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

Scriptures quoted within Episode #6-There is Corn in Egypt:
Genesis 42:1-2

The message, There is Corn in Egypt, was recorded Friday December 7, 1984. By comparing the physical and spiritual plights of famine, we find Joseph, a type of Christ, and Jesus, who is the Christ, in similar roles as saviors providing food, mercy and forgiveness. First, in the Old Testament in the natural, Joseph provides Corn in Egypt; Second, in the New Testament, in the spiritual, Jesus provides the Bread of Life.
