Be Like Christ

1Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5gave this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

8. True consolation is the choicest gift from Christ, after we screw things up; It must come from Him.
9. The world is looking for consolation NOW. Why, because things are ----ed-up! [messed up]
10. What do we need in the morning?
11. 'I knew you before the foundation of the world was founded.' God anticipated man's fall from Grace. Christ is our remedy.
12. Did you anticipate man's economic fall, banks closing? What's your remedy?
13. Now, are we going to rely on God or man for consolation? Do we know any bankers who endured the cross despising the shame?
14. Can you say, my richest inheritance is that I came from poor people, a Club that no one wants to join?
15. God uses us because we're AVAILABLE rich or poor. Our consolation comes from the 'Prince of Peace' who will return.
16. Are you getting ready to RUMBLE? Get ready...
17. The consoling counsel of Christ, 'Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.'
18. Does your soul roar? 'Come onto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest' Go to Christ the Great Physician.
